| The fungus flora of Launceston, Tasmania, Australia of which very little is known. While there are thousands of people who can identify orchids, eucalypts or wattles at sight, there are very few amateur or professional naturalists who can do the same for the fungi. I am an amateur mycologists and naturalists and am trying to gather information and photographs and the distribution of fungi Most people with an interest in photography are almost certain to have the odd fungi photo in their collection. These strange organisms often display amazing colours and shapes, which compels you to photograph them. Newcomers to photography can produce amazing results with a little practise, because unlike birds and other animals, fungi don't move! I will attempt to show you how different the fungi are from other living things and why these organisms are now placed in a kingdom of their own. I hope to further the interest in mycology, the study of fungi.
